Poetry in Motion

We must risk delight. We can do without pleasure, but not delight. Not enjoyment. We must have the stubbornness to accept our gladness in the ruthless furnace of this world...
— Jack Gilbert, Refusing Heaven

Visual Poetry, moment by moment, day by day... it is everywhere, if we just take a moment and look...

I love to explore where the feeling of an experience meets the almost intangible. I love to find soft rolling pathways for a description of that feeling to come through. It is almost like an additional sense for me - the feeling of the forming words in my brain cabinet as my mouth shapes around the words to feel their fullness or emptiness or compatibility with the feeling of the experience. The way the words feel in my mouth, as my cheeks move to form the words and my tongue shapes around them, plays a huge part in the words presence in any piece. I love this exploration. It is like the words and the sensation melt together inside me.

This is from the fridge of my dear friend Miss Indigo. Her home is an artwork unto itself and it is a pleasure to inhabit. Indigo is an inspired creative, whose genius and curiosity continue to inspire me to greater depth of exploration with my own creativity. She is a true artist. Check out her work.
